I've been dealing with a chronic health issue for years. It’s exhausting, but what’s worse is well-meaning church people subtly implying that if I just had "more faith," God would fix it. It makes me feel so defective. But I was reading 2 Corinthians 12 today. The Apostle Paul—the guy who literally raised the dead—had a severe "thorn in his flesh." He begged God three different times to take it away. God’s answer? A flat "No." God told Paul, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." God didn't withhold healing because Paul lacked faith; He left the weakness there to keep Paul grounded and relying on Him. If you are carrying a burden God hasn't lifted yet, you aren't doing faith wrong. Sometimes the limp is the exact place where His grace enters. #ChronicIllness #PaulsThorn #FaithInSuffering #GraceIsEnough #ToxicTheology
